Simplified process flow
  1. Liquid enters the tank through its inlet nozzle.
  2. The vessel holds it in a closed, cleanable stainless steel body, with a jacket or insulation if the product needs temperature control.
  3. A vent, level indicator and sampling point let operators monitor the contents.
  4. Liquid leaves through the bottom outlet valve to the next process step or to filling.
